HARYANA GOVERNMENT IS OF THE VIEW THAT THE DECISION WILL HELP REDUCE PROPERTY DISPUTES WITHIN A FAMILY.

The state government has decided to waive off stamp duty on transfer of immovable properties among blood relations within a family to reduce property disputes.
This decision was taken by the state cabinet meeting, chaired by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on May 28.
The Haryana government is of the view that the decision will help reduce disputes over property as the stamp duty leviable on the transfer of immovable property within family and among blood relations parents, siblings, children and grand children and between spouses leads to disputes and litigation among family members, an official release said.
As a result of the decision, one spouse would be able to transfer immovable property to another spouse to safeguard his/ her interest and charging of stamp duty would not pose any hindrance in transfer of property, it said.
The cabinet also decided to waive mortgage deeds for securing bank loan up to Rs5 lakh executed by self help groups from payment of stamp duty. Haryana is the only state in north India to have given such exemption, the release said.
To meet the shortfall of doctors in various government hospitals and health centers in Haryana, it was decided to fill up the vacant reserved posts of medical officers by general category applicants on carry forward basis, the cabinet meeting stated.
It was also decided at the meeting that the state government would adopt the same regularisation policy of 2011 as adopted by the Punjab government for the regularisation of employees, the statement said.
The policy would be applicable with effect from May 28, 2014. Earlier in the cabinet meeting, the approval to the proposal regarding amendment in the regularisation policies dated July 29, 2011 for group B, C and D employees or workers was approved.
The left over group C and D employees working on ad hoc, contract, daily wages or work charged who could not be regularised under the regularisation policy due to administrative reasons but were otherwise eligible, would be regularised with effect from the date they were eligible for regularisation.
The regularisation policy of Punjab gover nment dated March 18, 2011 for group B, C and D employees or workers who have completed three years service on contract basis engaged by government or approved agency of the state government as on May 28, 2014 would be adopted by the Haryana government, the release said.
